Quill Acidify is a premix blend of organic acids for improved disease immunity by lowering the pH of drinking water.
Key components: Propionic acid, formic acid and lactic acid.
- Inhibits the growth of pathogenic bacteria such as Salmonella, Campylobacter & E.coli
- Supports gut function, essential at times of stress

Dosing Instructions:
Can be used daily. Add to drinking water; directly into drinkers, tanks or with a dosing pump.
Dilution rate 1: 1000 (0.5-1ml of Quill Acidify per 1000ml water)
We recommend the use of water sanitiser with waterlines to prevent bio-film build up. Not recommended for use at the same time as wormers or vaccinations in the water.

How does supplementing organic acids improve animal health?
Gut microbiota - By lowering the pH of drinking water, the biological barrier function of the stomach is improved. This prevents bacteria being passed to the intestine and absorbed.
Antibiotic-free support - Research has proven that the use of a blend of free and organic acids with post-weaning piglets improved growth performance when compared to the use of antibiotic medication.
Protein digestion - Pepsin is a protein enzyme needed for Poultry and Pigs to digest their food, however it functions better at a lower pH. By lowering the stomach pH, Quill Acidify improves protein digestion, increasing energy and supporting tissue growth.
Lowering the pH - Mixing organic acids will create non-dissociated forms of each acid. This allows for movement across the surface of unwanted microorganisms, and once inside causes the ph of the cell to drop and the pathogen to die.
