Quill 150 Spring Trap

The Quill 150 Spring Trap is a humane and rapid head kill trap for stoats, weasels and rats.  It is a legal alternative to the DOC 150 Trap and approved for use in England, Wales and Scotland under the Spring Traps Approval Order 2023.

It was designed with gamekeepers to outperform alternative traps and be more cost effective. 

Unlike others on the market which are only coated or galvanised metal, the Quill 150 is made from quality solid stainless steel.  This makes it more rust and corrosion resistant to acid peat and wet conditions, keeping the trap’s vital catching strength and sensitivity to help provide high successful catching rates.

This quality, European made, solid steel trap also makes it long lasting and a worthwhile investment in any moorland management programme and budget to protect ground nesting birds.

The trap features a bait hold in the lower centre to allow an optional egg to be placed in the middle of the trap without rolling away. 

This Quill trap can be set as a run through trap such as on a rail or in a closed end tunnel. The trap must be set in a suitable tunnel to be legal, as specified by the Quill 150 Spring Trap Instructions. A separate Quill 150 Spring Trap Box is also available to purchase.

Approval

The Quill 150 Spring Trap is approved to be used on for the purpose of killing or taking stoats, rats or weasels in England, Scotland and Wales.

The trap must be set in a natural or artificial tunnel which is suitable for minimising the chances of capturing, killing or injuring non-target species whilst not compromising the killing or taking of target species.
