Ruby Grain Bait is a highly attractive and very palatable Difenacoum whole wheat bait for use against rats and mice. Ruby whole grain bait contains an irresistible aniseed attractant which enhances a rapid ‘take’.

Suitable for use in and around buildings to deal with an infestation of that building.

Directions for use:

For rat infestations use bait points of 90 – 100 g. Place bait points 10m apart reducing to 5 m in high infestations. Do not move or disturb bait points for several days after laying bait. If no signs of rat activity are seen near the bait after 7-10 days, move the bait to an area of higher rat activity.

For mouse infestations use bait points of 20 – 30 g. Place bait points 5 m apart reducing to 2 m in high infestations. Mice are very inquisitive and it may help the control program to move baits every 2-3 days at the time when bait points are inspected or topped up.

Make frequent inspections of the bait points during the first 10-14 days and replace any bait eaten by rodents or that has been damaged by water or contaminated by dirt.

Rodenticide Certification

As of 1st January 2026, professional rodenticide users such as farmers, pest controllers and gamekeepers will be required to show CRRU approved training or a CPD scheme membership in order to buy professional rodenticides.

There are two options for obtaining the mandatory certification to purchase professional-strength rodenticides.

In order to obtain the certification needed to purchase rodenticides you will need to either:

1) Provide proof of training on a CRRU UK approved course that must have been completed in the last 5 years.

2) Proof of certification to a CRRU UK approved training course more than 5 years ago and current membership of a CRRU UK approved Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme.

Our team will also require a copy of valid ID (such as a copy of drivers license or passport) before the rodenticide can be dispatched, as well as a complete CRRU form. These can be sent into sales@quillprod.com or our team will be in touch before dispatch.
