Quill Acidify is a complimentary feed premixture for Poultry, Turkeys & Pigs containing Propionic Acid, Formic Acid & Lactic Acid. Formulated to lower the pH of livestock drinking water to support gut function and disease immunity.

DILUTION RATE

1:1000 (1ml of Acidify in 1 Litre of drinking water, administered daily)

Quill Acidify Components:

Organic Acids (Formic Acid, Lactic Acid, Propionic Acid)

Lowers pH of drinking water, killing pathogens like Salmonella, Campylobacter & E. Coli
Supports microbial balance, reducing wet litter and scours in post-weaning pigs
Can help to prevent the need for antibiotics

Directions for use:

Dilution rate 1: 1000 (1ml of Quill Acidify per 1000ml water)

Add to drinking water; directly into drinkers, tanks or with a dosing pump. Can be used alongside other Quill supplements; mix within water not as concentrates.

Use pH strips to check that the pH of water reaches the optimum level of 4.0. Rate may need to be adjusted due to water hardness.

Store in cool dry conditions out of direct sunlight. For animal use only. Not recommended for use at the same time as wormers or vaccinations in the water.

How does supplementing organic acids improve animal health?

Gut microbiota - By lowering the pH of drinking water, the biological barrier function of the stomach is improved. This prevents bacteria being passed to the intestine and absorbed.

Antibiotic-free support - Research has proven that the use of a blend of free and organic acids with post-weaning piglets improved growth performance when compared to the use of antibiotic medication.

Lowering the pH - Mixing organic acids will create non-dissociated forms of each acid. This allows for movement across the surface of unwanted microorganisms, and once inside causes the ph of the cell to drop and the pathogen to die.

Add to drinking water; directly into drinkers, tanks or with a dosing pump.

Dilution rate 1:1000

(1ml of product to 1000ml drinking water)

We recommend using a hydrogen peroxide water sanitiser such as Quill Water-Pure when dosing supplements to prevent biofilm build up.

Important Information

Some of the Quill supplements contain minerals which may crystallise. This will not effect the efficacy of the product. Simply shake well before use.

Not recommended for use at the same time as medication or vaccinations.

Can I use more than one supplement at the same time?

You can dose more than one of our supplements into drinking water at the same time, however we always recommend using a hydrogen peroxide water sanitiser such as Quill Water-Pure to ensure that biofilm blockages are prevented. We also recommend that any supplements are either dosed straight into the waterline using a peristaltic pump or mixed into the water in smaller drinkers, never as a 'neat' solution.
