How does Oxi-PURE™️ work?

When hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) in Oxi-PURE™️ comes into contact with organic matter (dirt, bacteria, biofilm etc) it reacts and releases lots of tiny bubbles of oxygen (O₂). This oxidising action effectively breaks down and removes debris, whilst also killing bacteria, fungi & viruses.

Does Hydrogen Peroxide produce any toxic byproducts?

H₂O₂ breaks down into water (H₂O) and oxygen (O₂) making it an environmentally friendly and safer choice than other harsh chemicals.

Can I use Oxi-PURE™️ in my livestock drinking water?

Yes, Oxi-PURE™️ is suitable for livestock drinking water and can be dosed continually whilst animals are drinking. Hydrogen peroxide helps to prevent livestock from drinking water contaminated with disease and bacteria.

Can I use Oxi-PURE™️ at the same time as vitamins & supplements?

We recommend using a hydrogen peroxide water sanitiser such as Oxi-PURE™️ when using supplements in livestock water to help prevent the natural build up of biofilm. Oxi-PURE™️ is suitable for use at the same time as any of the quill supplement range.

Why does Oxi-PURE™️ need a vented cap?

Oxi-PURE™️ is always supplied with a specialist vented cap, which allows any excess oxygen to be safely released from the bottle.

Can Oxi-PURE™️ get rid of algae and biofilm?

Oxi-PURE™️ can remove and help prevent the growth of algae and biofilms. This product has not been tested for use when aquatic life is present, but it is suitable for removing algae slime from pond liners and swimming pools when they are empty.

What is biofilm?

Biofilms are defined as 'a community of microorganisms like bacteria or fungi that stick together and often to a surface within a slimy extracellular matrix'. Biofilms are resistant to simple disinfectant, which will kill the bacteria or fungi but will not remove the slimy environment in which they thrive. Oxi-PURE™️ contains hydrogen peroxide which reacts and oxidises. This reaction destroys breaks up the biofilm structures, including those not visible to the naked eye.

How does Oxi-PURE™️ kill bacteria, yeasts, mould and fungi?

Stabilised hydrogen peroxide produces free oxygen radicals which attract disinfectant to the bacterium/ microorganism. Once they make contact, a reaction occurs which destroys the bacterium.

Can I use Oxi-PURE™️ in my water butts?

Yes, Oxi-PURE™️ is a great way to keep water hygienic in a water butt. Hydrogen Peroxide has multiple benefits for plants when added to the water you use to water with.

How can Oxi-PURE™️ help plants grow?

When added to soil, the Hydrogen Peroxide in Oxi-PURE™️ will create additional oxygen which can improve root development, nutrient absorption and help to kill bacteria and fungi.

Cleaning

Dilute 1 part Oxi-PURE to 1 part water

• Diluting 1:1 with clean water reduces the H2O2 to 2.5%; a suitable level for general cleaning, disinfecting and stain removal. Effective on a range of surfaces, but always test on an area first.

Livestock Drinking Water

Dilute 1-2ml Oxi-PURE to 1000ml water

• Oxi-PURE can be added to drinking water for birds and livestock. To clean feeding and drinking equipment, refer to the ‘Cleaning’ dilution rate above.

Water for Plants

Dilute 0.5-1ml Oxi-PURE to 1000ml water

• Oxi-PURE can be added to water butts and tanks to control biofilm, algae growth and pathogens. Safe to use in water for plants and has been shown to offer many benefits for growth.
