FAM 30 is the original iodine-based livestock disinfectant, developed by Evans Vanodine in 1967 in response to the foot and mouth outbreak.
Today, FAM 30 is the leading iodophor disinfectant in the world for comprehensive farm and livestock disinfection.

Why does FAM 30 contain iodine?
- Iodine is bactericidal, fungicidal, and virucidal.
- Iodine works with surfactant to penetrate surfaces and organic material where pathogens are present and harder to kill.
- As an oxidising agent, iodine reacts quickly to kill pathogens fast.
- Iodine is not as corrosive as other disinfectants.
