ALPHI Twenty One is an effective adulticide for treating Litter Beetle. Great for use in Livestock and Poultry housing.

  • Spray or paint on
  • Kills by contact or ingestion
  • BEIC approved (2018 list)

Litter beetle can be very destructive and have been known to undermine the structure of some poultry units. They are also a known vector of disease. In broiler units the key issues of litter beetle appears at turnaround of chickens. As soon as the shed is emptied and food is removed in preparation for cleaning the beetles will migrate to cracks and crevices in the walls.

Once the disinfection and clean is done and chickens and feed are reintroduced the beetles will migrate back into the shed with all the disease that may have been prevalent before the deep clean.

Dosage: The recommended dosage is 500g of product per 100m² surface spray.

Application: For 100m² floor surface, dilute 500g of Alphi in 10 litres of lukewarm water. Ensure the solution is mixed fully before use. Apply solution with a sprayer following the methods below:

1) Once the poultry unit has been fully emptied of all birds, equipment (incl. drinkers, feeders etc...) and has been thoroughly disinfected it will be ready for the first application of Twenty One ALPHI. Spray half of the solution around the building by making a strip of 50cm on the lowest part of the wall, uprights and where feeding plates come into contact with the floor. In slatted and deep pit housing: as soon as the birds are removed spray the lower part of the wall where possible (above much level) with a band of Alphi prior to removing the muck. The follow steps 1 & 2.

2) Prior to new birds being introduced to the building, spray the remaining half of the solution on the whole floor surface, specifically targeting all cracks and crevices.
