DMCID Eggwash is a brilliant formulation that dosnt effect the inside of the egg but leaves a nice sheen on the shell. A lot of large hatcheries no longer wash eggs but rely soly on strong fumigation methods. If the nest boxes of laying birds cannot be kept clean or high amunt of floor eggs are picked up some people use a Rotomaid 100 or 200 to help clean the eggs. It is imperative that the right temperatures and chemical strengths are used if the eggs are going on to be used in the hatchery, otherwise poor incubation will result.
