Drinkers

Drinkers for game bird and poultry come into classes either open water or sealed systems such as the nipple drinkers. Nipple drinkers are fitted to all new poultry installations as bell drinkers are considered to have more biosecurity risks. With the increasing costs of poultry feed it is imperative that birds are able to drink microbially clean water, otherwise good feed conversion rates will not be obtained. Bell drinkers have been widely used by the poultry industry but are now being surpassed by nipple drinkers.The Rainbow Bell Drinker first came into production in 1958 and has been sold worldwide.Bell drinkers are often used in Turkey flocks and some older poultry installations.Font drinkers and floor drinkers are often used by the smaller producers but have to be disinfected of a very regular basis. We also suggest you use a Disko stand under font drinkers to stop the bedding become wet and contaminated. 0.8ltr Font drinkers are often used for chicks and the 3.5ltr font drinkers can be used as additional support to nipple systems in times of stress.  5ltr, 10ltr and 15ltr font drinkers are often used in outside chicken runs all suffer from algae problems. The clear plastic on the top of the font drinker allows the light to break down the chlorine in the water.
