At Quill Productions we provide a range of liquid vitamin and trace element solutions for use with poultry and game birds. · When subjected to stress a bird’s feed intake often decreases whereas water consumption remains stable or increases. Vitamin intake therefore continues when it is needed most.

Organic Acids used in drinking water have many beneficial effects depending on the composition of the organic acids used. Lactic, butyric, proprionic, acetic and citric acids are all examples of organic acids.The anti-bacterial activity of organic acids is related to the reduction of pH, as well as their ability to dissociate which is determined by the pka-value of the respective acid and the pH of the surrounding environment. If organic acids are being used to change gut micro-flora then okay, but if the idea is just to use them as a biosecurity strategy for campylobactor in the water lines or as a water sanitiser then a product like Hydrocare or Cid2000 will be twice as cheap.
Vitamins. Feed problems in poultry flocks can lead to vitamin and mineral difficiencies within the flock. If poultry are not performing at peak efficiency for one reason or another often vitamins and minerals can be added to the drinking line helping them get over a blip in production.
